Homemade Deodorant 🌱

Zero waste / Wednesday, February 27th, 2019

A homemade deodorant might appear unreliable at the first sight but believe me, it’s the best deodorant I have ever used. Speaking from experience, trying it means adopting it!

So, without further ado…

The ingredients:
40 g organic coconut oil
26 g baking soda
26 g cornstarch
2 g beeswax (hardens the deo given that the coconut oil liquefies at temperatures above 24°C)
8 drops of Palmarosa essential oil (purifying et cleansing)

Step by step:
1. Melt the coconut oil and the beeswax in a pan, remove from heat and stir in.
2. Meanwhile, mix the baking soda and the cornstarch together in a bowl and combine them with the coconut-oil-beewax mixture until homogenized. 3. Add the drops of essential oils and mix again.
4. Tranfer the liquid in a screw top jar and let it cool until it has hardened.

And that’s it, you have your deodorant!

It’s also very easy to apply. Take a dab of it on your finger and spread it on your armpits. Try it yourself, it’s amazing!
